Why we need to be healthy
Every human being on Earth wants to be healthy, but when asked about why they want to be healthy, in many cases, they will give you the answer that they want to be healthy because they saw celebrities like that, they saw influencers like that, they saw their friends like that. In most cases, being healthy means being physically appealing, and in some cases, being mentally healthy. But nobody wants to know what truly means being healthy. Thus, we will try to understand a spiritual angle of health, why health is an asset for us, and what being healthy means to us in a spiritual way. So let’s delve deep into the thought of why we need to be healthy.
First, we will learn the physical and mental health benefits of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Physical health benefits

Here we can see the actual benefits of a healthy lifestyle on our body and mind. Now, let’s understand the spiritual benefits of a healthy lifestyle in our life. First, we need to understand….
What is spirituality
According to the University of Minnesota, Spirituality is a broad concept with room for many perspectives. In general, it includes a sense of connection to something bigger than ourselves, and it typically involves a search for meaning in life. As such, it is a universal human experience—something that touches us all. People may describe a spiritual experience as sacred or transcendent or simply a deep sense of aliveness and interconnectedness.
Some may find that their spiritual life is intricately linked to their association with a church, temple, mosque, or synagogue. Others may pray or find comfort in a personal relationship with God or a higher power. Still others seek meaning through their connections to nature or art. Like your sense of purpose, your personal definition of spirituality may change throughout your life, adapting to your own experiences and relationship.
Understanding the Concept
From the definition of spirituality, we can clearly see that one of the core meanings of spirituality is to find the purpose of our life. To find the true purpose of life, we have to be mindful of what we are doing and for what reason we are doing it. Let’s say you want to become healthy; for that, you need to question yourself, “Why do I want it?” Then you get the answer of physical and mental benefits of a healthy lifestyle. When you go deep to find the answer, you will find that a healthy lifestyle connects you with nature.
We humans are here on this planet for some reasons; you can’t say that we are here for nothing and that this life has no meaning and the whole universe was created out of nothing, blah blah… It makes no sense. When you start to adopt a healthy lifestyle, your mind becomes clear, and you can see things clearly and purely. You can see that nature, the sky, the sea, the planets, everything that surrounds us, are obeying certain rules; if those rules aren’t obeyed sincerely, the whole system will break down. So, like this, our body and mind have to maintain certain rules and regulations for a healthy lifestyle, and it is worth it because at the end of the day, this is how our whole reality functions through certain rules and regulations.
If you are religious, then you can understand this more accurately. You know that you were created by Almighty God for some reason. The reason is to test you, and based on that test result, you will enter heaven or hell. So, you need to understand what God is and what God’s test is for you. Therefore, when you are in good physical and mental condition, you can feel the presence of God, and thus, it will give you a purpose in life, eventually making you more satisfied in life.
The conclusion of this subject is to make you satisfied with your life. To be honest, even if you achieve physical and mental well-being, you will reap the benefits that I mentioned above, but in the long run, it will fade. So, my goal is to make you spiritually healthy, as spiritual well-being will make you understand your purpose and give you satisfaction. At the end of everything, if you are not satisfied with your life, then you will be living in eternal emptiness.
